TASC & USQ Partnership

by admin on May 5, 2011

TASC and the USQ are pleased to be working together on an initiative of the Commonwealth Attorney General to provide Clinical Legal Education to family law students at USQ.

The project will commence in July 2010 and will promote the philosophy of TASC to provide access to justice to disadvantaged persons. Training and practical legal experience will be provided to family law students from USQ over a ten week program. The program will provide students with experience in face to face contact with clients, taking instructions from clients and providing advice to clients, both written and oral.

Students will also be provided with an opportunity to attend court and to prepare and necessary court materials. TASC will also, through it rural and regional projects, provide students with experience in remote regions and in particular problems faced by rural areas.

This is a great initiative. Anything that gets law students to feel the real world has got to be good.
