Project 300
PURPOSE
The purpose of prject 300 is to facilitate the choices of psychiatric disability to live as community members.
PRINCIPLES
The principles of project 300 are consistent with the National and State mental policies and plans and the Queensland Disabilility Act 1992. The principles are:
- Disability supports are delivered in accordance with the Queensland Disability standards.
- Clinical mental Health services are of a high quality and are consistent with best practice, including the National standards for Mental Health services.
- Services are consitent with the policies and principles set out in the current strategic plan.
- Program premise is based on the philosophy of Recovery.
- Consumer involvement is parammount.
- Maximum participation of the individuals concerned in decision making and choice in the individual planning and process is ensured.
- Co-ordinated service responses allow for maximum flexibility and are designed and implemented to promote inclusion of people with disabilities in the life of the local community.
- Adequate access to to advocacy and safeguards of the individuals concerned is ensured.
- the privacy and confidentiality of the individauls concerned is protected.
- The interests of family members, carers and other social networks are taken into account.
