Tenant and Advice service: Know your rights

The Tenant Advice & Advocacy Service Toowoomba (TAAS) provides free advice, information and advocacy to tenants and residents in the Toowoomba and Darling Downs area. We provide information and advice to tenants in relation to all aspects of their tenancies including:

• Tenants rights and responsibilities
• Repairs
• Bond issues
• Evictions
• Homelessness
• Listings and tenancy advocacy
• Breaking lease
• Applying to small claims tribunals

We can assist in you in disputes, advise you on your rights and obligation as a tenant and provide you with a range of printed information.

We can also refer you to housing providers and other agencies that may be able to assist you further.

TAAS Toowoomba also provides community education to schools, universities and a variety of other organisations.
