The Flood!
Thursday, 20 November, much like most of the South East corner of Queensland, the brand new TASC office woke up to find itself rather wet, inside and out. The storms from the night before had collapsed the roof of the building and flooded parts of the office. Fortunately, for us a little bit of rain won’t dampen our spirits especially since TASC has been awarded a substantial grant from the Queensland Government’s Gambling Community Benefit Fund. Coffee Machine for TASC
Thanks to SNAP Printing Toowoomba, TASC are now the new owners of a wonderful coffee machine! TASC won the prize in a competition run by SNAP Printing. International Tenants' Day 2008
The International Union of Tenants (IUT) has designated the first Monday in October each year as International Tenants Day, which this year falls on 6 October. The IUT represents tenant and housing issues and promotes security of tenure and the right to affordable housing. Seniors' Week Activities 2008
A couple of artists are enjoying their creative expressions on canvas. TASC Community Support worker Tess Minogue initiated a series of activities sponsored by the Department of Communities to celebrate Seniors' Week 2008.
